      New CL-205's on my Fastback

Well, I finally decided to move up to 17" wheels. I really like the American Racing Torq-Thrust D's that I have,
but wanted to fit larger brakes.
      I went with the American Racing CL-205's - http://www.wheelsforless.com/search_...uct_ID=2057...
      I got the 17" X 8" with 4.75" backspacing.

It took over 12 weeks to get them and when they showed up they were a little too grey for my liking,
so I taped them off and sprayed the spokes satin black.

      I, also, got Falken Azenis RT-615's - 225/45/17 front and 245/45/17 rear.
      http://www.falkentire.com/main.htm

I've got the tires mounted and balanced and have test fit them on my car, but I have a little bit of a rubbing issue,
do to the amount of + Caster I run.
I'm going to grind a little of the fender lip and hopefully get them installed and shoot some pictures.

      Tim

      The new 17" X 8" CL-205's with 225/45/17's next to the old 15" X 7" Torq-Thrust D's with 225/50/15's

      Here's a picture with the old 15" AR TT-D's

And here's the same angle with the new CL-205's

I finally got around to washing and waxing my car since putting the new wheels and tires on. I went out for a quick drive tonight to see if I could get some good sunset pictures. I didn't get a very good sunset but the lighting played some interesting tricks on my paint.

Looks sick, I'm glad that you painted them black instead of leaving them grey.

Looks killer ...but as you can see...I like 'em in grey too!

I always loved those early Mustang fastbacks. The new wheels and tires should make you a bit faster on the Auto-X also.

All these CL205's all look great! I think the wheel color change on your red Mustang was a good choice, really ties in well w/ the stripe and the theme. Time to update your signature! I wish they had that CL205 in 8" wide and 5" b/s off the shelf.

Nice work on that Mustang, I'd of never considered painting them had I bought em, but you did well and they tie in with the paint and stripes on your car!

I was considering the CL205's up until the last few months since they look great, but decided to go for a more unique set that'll remain top secret until they're mounted.

Now the only thing you have to change is the info in your signature! I actually have TT D's on my Z at the moment also! but with a little more tire on them!
