      Paint ideas for my Camaro

      Hey,

I'm new to the site and was wondering if I could bounce some ideas off you and maybe get some feedback on some paint ideas for my Camaro.

I really like the idea of a factory stripe for my car but the one for the 79 is kinda boring.

I was considering a 68 Camaro SS stripe but not sure if it would work.

The 68 stripe doesn't work because of how it wraps around the top of the front fascia. A hockey strick stripe would probably work better.

That baldwin hood stripe is cool. I'm not a fan of the tapered side stripes, though.

Maybe you can flip the 68 stripe around and use it on the back. That way it has a similar look to the baldwin side stripes, but isn't as disco era looking. Plus you get to incorporate a factory(ish) stripe.

I had a 79 z and redid it with the factory stripes on the side and cowl hood and 16in iroc wheels, this was back in 89 thou.

some sort of a 2 tone split would be cool.

2-tone is sweet. I'll be going with stock 80 stripes on mine when the time comes though.

I vote two tone, with a bold pinstriper color. Red or something.

I'm not a two tone or stripes guy. I usually like my cars a solid colour but the two tone photochop actually looks really good. It's either that or the factory stripes IMO.

I like that two-tone. I have tried to figure out a way to two-tone my '79, and just couldn't wrap my non-artistic mind around a way to do it. I'm thinking I will do mine blue, but satin black the hood and trunk.

What color is your interior? The blue 80-81 or red to orange Z stripe would look good. My '81 Z will have the red to orange someday.
