      Newbie here from KC

Owned 3 gen 1 camaro's and finally decided that it was time to build a driver-touring type car. All the others were the "drag" type and not very street friendly. I am leaning towards the LT1 or LS1 swap with a 6 speed. I also really like the look of the 17's I've seen on the some of the cars, so I will be talking to some about the right wheel and fitment.

I just purchased a 67 camaro. Quarters, trunk and floor pans are replaced. Still in primer. No interior. Starting to work on the sub frame now. Big order of POR15 is in route....

1st question up for today is.....Where to start. Do I do the final touches on body work and get it painted then to the drive train? Or get an engine and tranny in and mechanically sound an opt for paint last?

Welcome to the site, Shannon. Personally, I would wait as long as possible to paint the car so as to minimize the possibility of damaging something during assembly. Others may disagree, though.
