Helper Air Springs???? Anyone......
The ones I'm thinking about used to be (and still) are used to preload the rear of a coil sprung car to help level it out of the hole for drag racing. Has anyone used these as an economical adjustable spring rate device in the rear?
I really like the way my old springs sit, but they tend to bottom out fairly often. Are these a viable option for an adjustable spring rate and tunability?

I used them on my old Chevelle at the track. Worked good. 10psi on the drivers and 18psi on the pass.
If your using them for a band aid I'd advise against it. Buy a nice pair of springs and shocks.MrQuick ΜΟΛ'ΩΝ ΛΑΒ'Ε

Well if you want my opinion buy a set of Air springs from air ride Technologies and setthem up with individual lines and manual fill AND the car will ahndle mch better and you can still put back in the old springs later on if you want.
Just remember to add a good set of shocks and you woill LOVE the ride and adjustability,,,, and all you need is a small compressor that plugs into a cig lighter.
I putthem on my 71 Monte and then drove 1400 mile roundtrip on 98 East Coast Power tour and the car was phenominal. WE packed so heavy and it still rode good and never gave me an issue. Heck I even switch overthe South Side MAachine lift bars and went dragracing too, consistent 60 fts and perfect launch.
Much better and you really can start with just the springs and lines/fittings too.
