      Black taillight bezels?

What do guys think? The bezels on the 68 are junk. I figured since I was going to be doing the hidden headlights in the front anyway, the black taillight bezel might look good.

I do powdercoating on the side, so knocking these bezels down and spraying them in a semigloss black wouldn't be hard.

I've got LED taillights for the car, so I think it would be an awesome looking combo.

I'll see what I can do tonight.

They are junk now anyway, what's the worst that could happen!

Did a little work on the taillights tonight. The bezels were in terrible shape and were rusted and pitted. The pictures make it look a lot better than is actually is, but it still came out pretty good. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my powdercoat, so I'm going to block same it to take out some of the small runs and bumps and lay a second coat on it to see if it will fill some of the pits. I'm going to go tomorrow to pick up some stainless hardware for the back of it, too. I changed the lenses from the stockers to a set of LEDs that MuscleRodz hooked me up with.

      So it went from this:

I am extremely pleased with the way they came out, even with the minor touch up I need to do on them.

I'm just wondering how they'll look when I paint the car red. I know if I ever build a black car, these would look KILLER!

      Thanks guys,

Car was actually painted and powdercoated 15 years ago. Use to have 15" centerlines on it untill 3 years ago.

hmm....i don't know why Project69's post didn't show up last time i looked at this thread but i see now that he posted my car lol.

speED, damn you beat me to the whole black out thing. i'm glad you don't have the drip rail trim in black though i think it looks better in body color. i was kinda up in the air about that part.
