      Me and my 1967 Chevelle

My name is Rich and I moved to Las Vegas few years ago. When I moved here my daiy driver was a 1971 Chevy Stepside pickup.. I did a 4/6 drop, added a front swaybar and a quick ratio steering box... When it wouldn't pass smog I went out a bought a "new" used car... After about a year I got bored and sold it to buy my 1967 Chevelle...

My first order of business was to upgrade the whels and tires.. get rid of the 14" steelies... Next was the brakes... After doing a bunch of research here and Team Chevelle forums I decides to go with ATS spindles... I was lucky that Tyler happened to be in Vegas... I also got some upper control arms from Mark at SC&C. Ad a set of drop springs and it was a night and day difference....

Now I am taking it to the next level.. I didn't want to do it but I'm selling the stepside to fund the Chevelle.... Mark from SC&C is releasing a new lower control arm in a few weeks. I will be running Varishock Quickset1 coilovers on all four corners. I will have the frame boxed and braced. I have a LS and a t56 mocked up now. I want to run an LS2 or the new LS3. I am talking to a local shop about building a Moser 12 bolt set up with 02 SS Camaro rear disc brakes to match the C5 Vette brakes up front. ( I can always upgrade later)

The body will remain stock looking. I will ditch the bench seat for a set of factory bucket seats with some custom bolstering. I hope to use and stock console from and auto with just a custom leather boot for the 6 spped. I was going to have a dash built that will resemble the one from my 96 Impala SS and work with what ever ECM I end up.. I think RedLine Gauges does things like this...

The car is an original California car. Came with a split benc and a 283. It has factory AC that I will keep. I want the car to run smooth, handle awesome and still be reliable for a daily driver...

Here are a couple pics.... When I got it and now...

      Welcome to the site.

Nice starting point. Id go with an Air-Ride system and slam that thing to the ground when parked.

      Thanks!
I had a hard time finding wheels I liked.. I wanted 18's but without the BLING!... And I'm already hooked... American Touring Specialties is in town and Tyler has been a big help. They actually installed my AFX front suspension setup... I have his LSx motor mounts and I'l be back for more of his stuff. . . .

Really nice, Rich. I have a 67 that was a frame-off job. I changed the color and am almost on the road. My car should be on here somewhere called El Chill. I will update with new pictures soon.

      good luck
      mike
