No phone number listed, just a info request form...

Yes, you need the whole system. Its a microprocessor controlled whole car wiring system... I saw this system on OneLapCamaro and it looks awesome. I am definitly look forward to using this system when I get to that point...

I already purchased a switch from a PC Mod shop online. They have a almost identical switch that Karl recomended but its black and can be ordered with a Green, Red or Blue LED ring....

One of the really cool things about the ISIS push button start capability is that you can program it to do almost anything that you could imagine with each push.

      one push
      • accessories get power
      • ignition is hot
      • fuel pump runs for 3 seconds

      push and hold
      • starter
      • running lights come on in 10 seconds

      push again
      • ignition is off
      • interior lights are on for one minute then fade off
      • running lights shut off in 30 seconds

That's just an example and the beauty of the system is that it can be different things for different people. You might want it to do more, you might want it to do less - you can decide how the push button start (or any switched feature) operates throughout the car. It is simply awesome.

If you fill out the contact form and ask them to call you, I am sure that you will hear from them shortly.

And those buttons (both stainless and black) and really cool. I played with them at SEMA for a while and saw them in a couple of sizes. If the OneLap car had any buttons I would use those for sure; for a push button start switch I am temporarily using a GT button - but will it will come out in the spring.

      Good luck,
      James

Sounds like an awesome system and if I had discovered it 2 years ago, I'm sure I would have gone with it. It looks super easy to install. However, I am way beyond that now and don't want to go backwards, both labor & parts and $$$$. Let's come up with a system for those of us that just want to retrofit a PUSH TO START system in our finished, or almost finished, cars. Thanks

      Greetings from Zilvia.net!

A few of us in the drifting community have rewired our entire cars, similar to what you guys do regularly ~ the question of "push start" buttons is a little too "ricey" for us non-Honda owners who actually track our cars (read: have better **** to spend money/time on) but one member linked this thread in a Fusebox Relocation discussion and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the first half or so lol.

I will be using the same "PC" momentary switch (with a resistor for the LED light, which is rated for 3.4V) with jlmccuan's relay setup, and a cheap ebay RFID unit (not an alarm, as I already have one) to trigger the ignition power to the switch/relay setup - I'm interested in keeping my alarms other functions (2way paging, etc) so I don't mind carrying that fob around.

Cheers, will check back for "matty b" updates.

There is another system out there available from Digital Guard Dawg. I put this system in my '68 RS/SS Camaro and it works like a charm. It even fits in the hole on the dash where the original ignition switch mounts. I used my original ignition switch harness and hooked up the Guard Dawg wires directly to it using electrical connectors. This way, if I want to go back to the original setup, it is a simple plug and play procedure. To get the accessories to work you do need to wire in two 30 amp relays but this is very easy to do. The great feature is the RFID DAWG Tag which you carry on you and when you get say within 10 ft or so the system kicks in and you can start the car. They can be set to work automatically or manually. The battery is conserved if in the manual mode. When I bought my kit they offered me an extra RFID tag (which retail for $75), so if you order, ask for this deal also. Having two of them lets you can place one in the auto mode and use it and place the other in manual mode for a spare and save the battery. The kit cost $399 but I feel it was worth it because it was easy to hook up and it works as advertised. If anyone needs any further info on this kit, please ask and I will be more than happy to help out. Check out the video of my install below.

First off looking at ISIS site I see the RF remote but it doesn't say whether or not you can use it a passive key ie walk up to the car with in your pocket doors unlock/pop and "arm" the car for ignition where you can just push and hold a button to start. Can it do this or do you have to get a separate passive key.

Secondly I wanted just a simple "Engine Start" button but then I saw this

And since Im doing a more aircraft theme I think it would be sweet.

Just read this thread first time wow.. I have this system in my Mercedes I really like that it offer both a key and push start. But what I like in my system is the car does no unlock when you walk up to it, you have to touch the door handle to open the door, which then unlocks all doors. Does any one know how this is done?

Actually it does not unlock when you touch the door handle. It unlocks when you physically move the inside of the handle I have an '08 E class. I believe that when the inside movable piece is disturbed, a signal is sent to the computer, which then scans to see if it detects the RF signal of the key fob, and if it does it unlocks the vehicle - exactly the same for when you press the start button on the shifter. Similarly, it is another mechanical small black switch on the outside door handles which when pressed locks the car. For those not in the know, that's the easy way to determine if a Mercedes has "Keyless Go". Another kind of cool feature of this system is that the keyfob is both rf and IR. There are IR sensors in the front doors, and an IR transmitter in the fob, allowing you to open and close windows and the sunroof while standing outside the vehicle.

The down side of the Mercedes technology is that the key fobs are not linked (in newer vehicles) to things like seat and mirror positions, as they are with Infinity for example. Mercedes used to do this, but stopped sometime around '06 or so - depending on the model. But it is a great system. It's nice never ever messing with a key.

You are correct I should have better explained it. I have the 07 E55 and in 07 they still change the seats and other features

      John

Maybe time to find a wrecked E class, I would love to pull the front and rear seats along with the key less system for my 69 camaro

The E55 is a great car. Mine is a daily drive and I need AWD, so no AMG for me. My understanding is that as a result of the Daimler-Chrysler experiment and quality issues, they decided to remove some options (in the US) in order to prevent support requests and increase quality ratings. That's apparently why in the US they got rid of the keyfob specific seat/wheel/mirror settings as well as things like the reverse mirror turn-down (that even my '00 CLK had) - though those features still exist for cars sold and delivered in other markets.

You'd need way more than the seats and the specific keyless go, you'd need the entire ECM as far as I know. It's an interesting thought, but would probably be a whole lot of effort - I think there's some CAN-BUS stuff, and who knows what else.
