      If you remove the slider pull bar you can easily adjust it so you can pull up without hitting the seat bottom. Just put the pull bar in a vise and change the angle slightly where it attaches to the slider. Being tubular it will adjust easily and once you get the handle to sit lower in the front you will be able to pull up without hitting the bottom of the seat and the sliders should slide freely.
