Yep - in MD several years ago a woman was taligating another woman for quite a while. She finally got fed up and hit the brakes. The woman behind overeacts and slids off the road and wrecks. She ends up dying and the brake lady ends up convicted of manslaughter (not vehicular either since they called it pre-meditated).

I remember reading about this story. IIRC she was coming up on heavy traffic and slowed down to avoid getting into an accident. She still got screwed.
