My 67 Interior Project Progress
How's it goin' guys! I've been away from the forum for a whole. I had to put my Camaro project on hold for various reasons. But i'm back in action again. And here's where it's at right now.
After installing a bad @ss stereo in it, I noticed way too many rattles. So I set forth to gut, strip, and sound deaden the interior. I also ordered a bunch of new stuff like new kick panles, headliner, carpet, 4th Gen seats, etc. Here are some pics of my progress...

Sprayed with Lizard Skin's Sound Control Formula

So now I'm in the process of laying all the remaining sound deadening over the Lizard Skin. I originaly tried going with FatMat Rattle Trap (seen on the roof), but it didn't work out so well. Everything I applied on the roof fell off within a couple weeks! I would've been more than pissed if I had went ahead and put the headliner up. A little aid from a heat gun might have helped with adhesion, but i'm skeptical. I did apply it on the floor boards, cause it can't really fall off there. After re-researching sound deadening options, I chose to go with the products from Second Skin Audio. In replacement of the FatMat, I went with their Damplifier for the roof/doors, and i'll be applying their Overkill over that. I've noticed a pretty good improvement in heat/noise reduction with the LS alone. So with the addition of the products from Second Skin, my ride should be cool, quiet(well as quiet as a pumped SB w/ Flows & knocking stereo), with clean sounding tunes. My advice to someone about to start a sound deadening project, you get what you pay for! Spend the few extra bucks and go with a quality product, you'll be happy you did.

10-01-2007 #3I had my stereo guy install the system for me. He made the covers out of a thin but sturdy wood composite.

Cause im contemplating just making a center console to house that along with a couple other things but it still undecided.
