Rubes...I have that banner up now. I've been meaning to snap a pic to show it off. Actually all that other stuff is done, it's the LS1 that is complicating matters. If I had just done a traditional small block I would probably be done by now. But I'm glad I went the route I did anyway. The interior is another point of contention. Seats are expensive and I still need some of my gauges and the headliner installed. Doing a car from scratch is a loooooooong journey.

Tony, don't even worry about it. It'll get done. Your family is more important, as you know. Mine took a year longer than expected, and I was lucky in the fact that my dad is into this stuff, and helped me out financially, just because he wanted to see it finished. It was his idea to get the LS7, so I told him right then that I wouldn't be able to do it without his help. I would be about halfway done if not for that, so keep your chin up, you're doing great! Like you said, the LS swap changes things, but you'll be happier in the long run. Hey, we need to get together sometime soon and go for a rip. Are you going to make it to the tech center show in a couple weeks?

OK...so the car is painted...you already have the motor/trans...and its already in...its got suspension/wheels/tires...sounds like you are close to having it "moving". No doubt the LS1 is kind of a complication, but you dont need a headliner or carpet to have it at RTTH. I think Steve's idea will point out how close you are to being able to "drive" it even if it is not "done". Might take 5k to get it to where you WANT it to be, but not to where you can start enjoying it. OK. I'll shut up now. You're still welcome to ride with me if ya want. heck, all I gotta do is put in a new hydroboost, new rear springs, and new rear wheel cylinders, and I still probably won't be done...LOLOL You did good, and should be happy with the progress thus far.

oh yeah,I agree that the "dead" thing was over the top..lol
