Pics of C6 Rims on 67-69 camaro? Before I buy?

Does ANYONE have any pics of C6 (5 star type) rims on a 67-69 camaro?
I found a set locally for CHEAP and want to purchase them but would like to know that they look good on the car first.

On older cars, you should take advantage of the ability to run deep lips on the wheels. Newer cars with their reversed offset have zero lip on them and look too flat. Besides that, you would need to run some 2-3" thick hub spacers to make them fit properly.

I would love to buy some rims with a nice lip but they are WAY outta my price range. I really like the look of the C6 rims and for under $500 for all 4 I really can't pass it up. I figure I'll be happy with these for a while and maybe upgrade in the future.
I am on a budget and need to (for lack of a better term) cut some corners where I can.
I still need to get the brakes and suspension as well.

wheels are THE most important aspect of a car. They set the attitude for the car. I'd cut corners on other stuff first, you can always keep your eyes open for a used set of 1st gen wheels, etc..

Just those billet spacers alone will add a couple hundred to your total.

yep those spacer will add up.. and jasons new wheel line is resonably priced. and boyds and AR are great priced!

Where can I look for reasonably priced rims?
All the wheels that I've looked at in the size I want and a nice lip cost $3000 & up! I just don't have that kind of loot to dump on rims when I need so much else. My nieghbor can fab up the spacers for me.

This will be an ongoing project for the next 3-4 years. I will not be driving the car. I figure the wheels will give me a good starting point and help figure out what needs to be done to have everything fit and function properly. When I decide to buy new wheels I'll surely get my money back from the C6 rims.

I REALLY do appreciate all your help and opinions....you all have way more experiance than I. The car will be in my garage and not driven around. I am trying to get the stance right in my first year of the build, I do not think this is unreasonable. By purchasing the wheels now at a GREATLY reduced cost it will allow me to put more money into suspension and brakes. Then before I am able to actually drive the car all I have to do is sell the C6 rims and buy new ones. Basically the rims are for mock up purposes and will allow me to get to the core of the whole first year goals....being suspension/brakes, and proper stance.

do a search, i think someone here has them on their 67/68 and it looks pretty good. i did the same for my 69 but never used them. the wheels themselves go for around $350.00 a set give or take a few $$. i paid $300.00 for mine. Good luck with your car.

This search has been brought up somewhere i think. Honestly i think these cars look better with C5 Z06 wheels not the C6 wheels, thats why i got C5 wheels.
