      How to make these pipes?

Could someone recommend a method of making these pipes? They're 1-1/4" OD aluminum pipe (1-1/8" ID). I would like them to be a single piece; not cut and welded.

      Thanks,

      Matt

Sure ... get a structural tubing bender, and the right mandrels. If you are making them from aluminum tube, be sure they are fully annealed. The tube lips on the end can be rolled with a tube bead roller.

Maybe ... but mine cost $2200 with a pair of mandrels.

So there's no way these pipes could be made with a rotary draw bender, like the model 3, for example?

Yes you can do them with the model 3 and for less than a thousand dollars. The only problem you might run into is the bends being close together on the one piece but it shouldn't be a problem.

Where do you live? i have the jd2 model 3 and a 1 1/4" die you can use if you are close.
