I just thought since he's a Pro Touring sponsor he would stop by at least once a week.

Will these cast manifolds work? If you just swap sides and mount them pointed forward I don't see why not. scroll down to the bottom of the page and check out part #1365R.

I know everyone wants 1000 hp and tubular headers but I think the mani's will provide more than enough performance.

Tino - Those are really nice headers, but I ma in SoCal and that shop is in Ohio.

68LS1wannabe - Those exhaust manifolds would put the turbos in the wrong place for my Nova chassis. I wish they would fit and save me a lot of cash.

Finally got a hold of Nelson Racing. $6,000.00 to start!

Cool idea, though I think you would need to just flip them upside down. The staggered bolt pattern would prevent swapping sides when upside down, plus that would put the turbos near the firewall.

Does anyone have thoughts on this? Would the later model 7.4l Suburban ones work on Mark IV heads?

I build my BBC twin turbo headers out of a pair of ceramic coated upsweep
      dragster headers with 2-1/4" primaries.

By the way, what would be a good turbo for 540 TT setup with a mild boost of 6-9psi maximum.

My BBC is heavy enough so I would like to go with a lightweight turbo.

      Any idea?

      Thanks Hannes

Can you elaborate some on the "upsweep dragster headers". I can picture what it is your talking about, but I have only seen 18-gauge steel "kits". Sounds like you have something already assembled and youjsut put a flange in place of the collector mount.

and I'm with you on the 540 TT. Doing the same thing here! How's about two T-70s with a .96A/R ? Mine is going into a 71 chevelle.

I have a 496 cid, 2 -MP70s with .96A/R. 2-60 mm w/g in a 1970 z28 camaro. 4l80e will replace the 700r4 that was in it. 18" st-7 wheels. i have log stlye manifolds now but will build a set of stainless tube headers. all fits under the stock hood. i will have a write up soon. its not as nice as most on there but gets the job done. here is an old mock up pick....
