Also, considering all the mods I've done to my car, I'm not sure if all the changes will pass NASA's specifications. Is there place where I could learn more about the specifics regarding car modifications (i didn't see anything when I scanned the NASA website)?
Joining NASA is a fun experience. They have a run group called HPDE, (high performance driving experiance). In HPDE there are 4 levels, 1,2,3,&4. Level 1 you ride with an instructor in your car and they show you the racing line on the track, level 2 you run on your own but no passing, level 3 is limited passing, and level 4 is balls out. It,s $45 for one year membership then you have to pay $159 a track day and you get 4 20 minute sessions on the track. It would be great to see guys from this site at the events.

I run Time Trials, one step above HPDE 4. If you like running your car on a road course it's way worth it and everybody involved is really cool. I must warn you tho, IT'S ADDICTING!!!!!!! LOL

Any of you East Bay folks interested in meeting at this season's premiere Elio's Cruise-In next Thursday in San Leandro?

As long as the weather is clear, I'll probably be there. Since this is the first cruise-in of the year, there might be a decent crowd. Usually, there is a wide range of cars... mostly hot rods and muscle cars, but sometimes there are a few exotics too. It'd be great to have some pro-touring cars there!

waiting on a new set of wheels tires. I put a hole in my right rear tire recently so car's not driveable till the new stuff comes in. otherwise I'd try to make it. is this going to be a weekly or monthly thing?

      This is a bi-monthly cruise-in. It's the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month April through October.

      Quick reminder...

Tomorrow is the first cruise-in of the year at Elio's in San Leandro, and the weather should be perfect.

If anyone decides to drop by, look for my black 67 Mustang.

      Mike,

I went with my wife and kids so it more a family day and i didn't get to really meet anyone new.

As for tonights San Leandro meet I have to get my car back together to hope I can take it on Sat. to the Chevelle meet in Sac. I have some new parts I need to kill the car for a couple weeks to install but I will have my new wheels in 5-6 weeks and for sure my target is to be ready to slap them on and be driving it for the rest of the summer. So I will have to see about catching a ride in a Buddy's car one of the meets.

Don't forget about Danville happening out this way in July/August time, can't remember for sure the dates I have to look.

Anyone with a weekday off interested in doing one of the Goodguys Hot Rod Week cruises?

There's a cruise/tour Mon-Thurs (8/23-26). I probably wouldn't drive on the Sacramento day, but one of the other days sound good.

No we took off that morning for Pismo. Car is still waiting on the C/A Fab9 and rear suspenion kit, they still have not called to say the axle is done....I hope this week. My plan is to get to drive the piss out of it the 26 and into the weekend. I may even not work the following week to keep driving it I am going threw withdraws over here. I have to walk right by it to my office at work. We need to hook up even if we don't have cars that night.

I'm in Fairfield, my car is still a good amount of work away before it's anything again though. My goal is to be drivable by next summer, then body and paint.
