Myself and most guys around here run the Hotchkis 1 1/8" hollow sway bar, part #2207-F.

How hard is it to install this unit??
Do you need to modify anything or is it direct bolt on??

      Thanks

It was a direct bolt on for me. maybe took a half hour. It's a little bit easier to install if you have the rest of the suspension apart doing a rebuild like I did but that's not necessary. You can get it in there according to hotchkis' instructions with a little turning/twisting, etc in about an hour, two at most. You might scratch it up a little bit in the process, but if you're worried about it you could wrap it in painters tape.

No problem skeeter, glad to help.

I don't currently run a rear sway bar, since i really don't think its necessary for how I intend to use the car (street w/ occasional autocross). I'm by no means an authority on the merits of using a rear sway bar though. But I'm sure some other guys can chime in here or you would probably be well served to do a search for rear sway bar. I know it has been discussed in great detail in the past.
I don't think you'll have any problems with the mini-tub, though, don't think it makes a difference.

Any real difference between a SOLID 1" and the 1 1/8" hollow bars?? I currently have a solid 1" used on the 69 T/As. Car mainly street/strip car. Global West tubular upper/lower arms and QA1 coilovers. Any real reason to switch to the hollow version ??

Weight. Other than that they offer similar torsion.

With DSE tubs I assume you will have much more tire in the rear than up front. That will cause understeer. You can add a rear bar to promote oversteer and try to balance the car.

Like 69 said, the 1 1/8" hollow is exactly the same stiffness as the 1" solid. the weight difference is about 6#. You'll never notice 6#.
