Slo-Touring?.. haha nah.. but which would you take? BATTLE of the CRUISERS.

      hey fellas..

i still have my 66 Bonneville... but recently had the opportunity to get a 65 Lincoln Continental.

now.. both have really nice styling..
i USED to have a 64, unfortunatly i dont anymore..sold it to fund Venomous.

i was thinking about which would be the better..

the Bonnie is a Convertable.. and is absolutely HUGE!
it has the wide track and is a 2 door... runs great.. love that fact that is is a rare cruiser. also the styling is edgy and meaner.

the Continental is a Hard Top... and is clean!
it has the suicide doors, and also runs well, plus AC. and i love the boxyness of the styling. more gangster.

neither of these photos are of my cars
      just for reference.

      the Bonneville.

      the Continental.

so what ya think?.. Summers coming soon.. whats the better cruiser?

      Dude, are you kidding?

You've already got one of the lowest, meanest coolest Bonnevilles ever, AND it's a convertible, and you're seriously considering swapping it for a Lincoln hardtop? And you're wondering which might be the better summer cruiser?

Don't get me wrong, a shiny Lincoln can be a sweet car, but Bonnie looks just right the way you've got her.

Besides, there's always the issue if you get the Lincoln totally gangstered out, you're going to have punk kids asking you if it's the car from the Marilyn Manson video - http://www.classiclincolns.com/videos/taint.html , which you probably don't want.

The weather might also be a factor. How often do you have the top down?

(If you got the Lincoln, would you be selling the Bonneville? If so, and this message hasn't talked you out of it, can you let me know how much you'd want? Due to a fender bender last night, it looks like I'm in the market for my next car.)

It's a tough call. I like em both. But if I was actually spending money. the Conti would be hard to resist.

I sold my 65 Rivi and would like to do a 69 Eldo or 70 Grand Prix next.

If the L is a 2 door, then get the Continental. If it's a four door, it's a toss up... just go with whichever is in better condition.

Oh man, that's a tough choice.

I'd go for the Bonnie just because it's as cool as the Lincoln but you don't see them as much.
Plus you can cruise with the top down.

I have ALWAYS loved the Lincolns, but your bonneville just has something different. maybe that it is probably the first cool one I have seen in a long time. EVERYONE WANTS a continental, so naturally that will be the popular vote. But the Bonnie has as much if not more potential.

Bonnie all the way. How do you argue with a convertible. Now suicide doors are pretty darn sweet, but as far as cruisers go, roofless is best

no doubt the Lincoln can be cool when slammed, tinted and some black paint but I think the Pontiac will always be sweeter to look at. Those are some of the best body lines of the era!

I have a 1962 Convert. Cadillac so i think your car is way better and cooler than a hard top Lincoln. You can never go wrong with your convert.

If you want a Lincoln get the convert or you will be bummed on the first sunny day/warm night that you drive the Lincoln.
