      Advise on buying car, please

      I found a great PT project car but, I need a loan to buy it. Where is the best place to get a good classic car loan?
      It’s an old Mustang Mach 1 in fair shape with hardly any rust & needs a little TLC. He’s only asking $6500 so I’d only need to borrow $5000.
      Also, should I put the title up for collateral?

      Thanks for you help,
      Chris

      Maybe you should save, wait until interst rates climb a bit more and buy your toy off some guy who can't afford to pay his loans and mortgage. Toys are the first to go.....

      A buddy of mine swears by Eloan.com. Never tried it myself, but they aren't picky about what you buy as long as it's a vehicle, so he claims.

      Thanks for all your help guys, I got the money taken care of.

      I’ve got another question for you guys, If the car is solid but the motor is ready to expire, what do you think is the top dollar price I should pay?

      Here’s the deal;
      The only thing I gotta do now is drive out to look at the car to see if it's everything he says it is. He says the 302ci motor smokes & I also realized it's not a Mach 1, it's a clone. The good thing is that it IS the body style that I'm looking for. What I really want is for the car to have a good solid chassis & body (which he says it has).

      It’s a 73 Fastback Mustang. I know this is not everybody’s cup of tea but, it is one of my favorite Muscle Cars. Even if you don’t like this particular car imagine if it were the year, make & model (diamond in rough) that you were looking for give me a fair unbiased estimate on what you would consider paying if you were in my shoes.
