Olds Billet SSIII wheels, prototype pictures

There has been some discussion here in the past about new Oldsmobile billet wheels being developed by Streetsmart Classics. I have Gary's first prototype wheel and put it on my Hurst for some pictures. Gary will be making the wheels for the S71 Cutlass project, seen in this thread:
      https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=32456

More information can be found on the wheels at www.streetsmartclassics.com. As of right now, these are still in a development stage, you can email Gary directly for any questions and feedback you have, his email address is on the Streetsmart classics site.

      Here's some pictures, enjoy...

      Thanks for looking!

Admins: I apologize if this is in the wrong forum... I felt like it was most appropriate here. Please move if necessary.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

      Thanks!

I forgot to add, I installed the .25" tomato red pinstripe tape, and painted some masking tape argent to lay in the spokes, all to imitate a stock 83-84 Hurst wheel. That is why the color in the spokes is far from perfect. The wheel starts off in plain billet form, so there are many ways to customize it.

Ya know...reading about this wheel didn't do much for me. I thought "How good could this possibly look?"

      Then the pic finished loading.

I have to admit- It's a pretty killer look! I hope the Olds enthusiasts out there embrace it. Congrats!

Almost makes we want to go buy and Olds as an excuse to get the wheels. They look like they were made for it more than the originals!

      Gang,
Gary Willard here....I want to thank all of you for your compliments on the wheel. I know they may not float everybodies boat, but that's fine. I like them and I'm glad that I finally got around to designing and building them! Thanks to Luke Krooswyk for taking the wheel and testing with it, as well as trying to give it various looks. This wheel looks great by itself, but it has a lot of potential for anyone to customize it as needed. Check out the website for updates and availability once all of my ducks are in a row!

Once I get established supplying the SSII and SSIII, ANY wheel can be copied as long as it isn't patented. I'm going to need something to keep the business going, so I would welcome any special requests.

a more "traditional" looking rallye II would be cool...dunno what the trademark issues would be, though.

Are you talking about a smooth lip rim rather than the rim with the steps? If so, I can also make the SSII and SSIII wheels with those rims as well. The next time I purchase some rims, I'm going to purchase a 17x8 smooth lip version just to see how it looks. I could create it in 3D and render it, but it's never as good of a representation as an in person model.
