bop 10 bolt rearend question?
my question concerns the width . i measured my 69 firebird 10 bolt. It measured 61" from wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface.(outside of drum to outside of drum). Is this the same width as a camaro rearend(1st gen). would like to know for wheel fitment.Would i need different back spacing. have heard firebirds had a 1" wider track than camaros. what are other 69 firebird running for wheels. I would like 17s. Any help would be great, thanks.

08-09-2007 #3The Camaro rear end is 60 inches wide overall. You will notice that your Firebird rear end has the eyes on top for the A body uper controll arms. Pontiac used the same rear end in the Firebird that they used in the LeMans, GTO and Tempest. The only difference was the spring perches. They were all 61 inches wide.
