How loud is it to drive your car with no interior?

I just want the car on the road. TEN years, and I've had the motor running a couple of times, pulled it in and out of the garage with no brakes and now the front clip is almost together. Should have the brakes done by end of month. Heck, I may run it without glass at first just to go...seats and belts of course!

Get the glass in, a couple Summit buckets and guages and drive.

Seeing some of the cars in the Paint and Body section, it seems it's not uncommon.

I think if I could drive it some, around town is fine, then I will be more motivated to get picky.

And with the quotes I'm getting for paint, I may be able to do it sooner than later and don't want to have to tear out too much.

So, how bad/loud/uncomfortable is your car to drive? I'll probably have my A/C working...

I drove mine without an interrior for years (probably ten years)... the biggest increase in noise is with the rear seat out of the car. Other than that, the carpet and jute padding wasnt as noticeable.

I've got Dynamat down but no carpet or panels yet. It's not too bad at all.

40 y/o jute padding and carpet don't really do much as it is, so it will not be too bad. Just depends on your exhaust more than anything. If you have dynamat or similar down then no worries.

yeah. I've got just fat mat, no carpet or pad yet. No headliner. The fatmat made a big difference. I can actually talk on the phone now if I have to. Come to think of it.. I can actually hear it ring now too.

Well, I gutted my formula because of water issues and it was very loud inside. Sure you got used to it and it was no longer that loud, but once I got the interior back in it was quiet.
