What are you going to do under the head lights? you have a lot of open area are you going to close it up or put a grille? Your progress looks great

Looking good. Definitely get it out of the grass so we can see how low that front really sits. I think your choice of Hammerhead for a project name is spot on.

Thanks,It sits pretty low actually.The frame and sidepipes are @
3 1/2"off the ground.I have to watch for steep inclines now.I'm workin on the rear flares now but will post some pics on a better surface later.Oh and I did get to cut the grass today!!

It's good to have differences in cars, keeps the hobby fresh with new ideas going in different directions. It'd be no fun if everyone's cars were the same.... Looks good !!!

The car could use some 18's and 20's to fill the gap.The race syle flares were made to give the car clearance in the fender wells.(cut out style)There is alot there because the current wheels are only 15's.It makes the car look like it sets higher than it does.(not much different than 14's)If you were to remove the 18's from any car and go back to 15's or 14's the car would look taller.Someday,(Soon I hope!)to get the rite wheels for it.

Not really,,,I did go to a cruise yesterday,and I have one after church today.I have stayed after it though.The rear flares are glassed and primed.I'll try to get some pics today.(Me, slackin??)

I don't know man, 17's might be big enough tucked in there right. BUT, I don't know that I've ever seen 18's or 20's on that body style as a point of reference.

man i am torn on that car, it really looks like it is a 4x even though we have concluded that it is just the wheels. it appears and maybe it is deceptive, but behind the side pipe that small bit of rocker seems really tall. that is my favorite era corvette and you have taken so much away from the lines that i loved. yet is also so very corvette summer, and call me what you may, i loved that car, poor acting notwithstanding. so while i have to admit as per my tastes your are treading in dangerous territory, it could end up falling either way. I do applaude you for having the balls to cut and rework a vette, and i love the name. the wheel and tire combo is really going to be pivotal on this car. rock on brother, build something everybody loves or hates, but build your car. i am looking forward to following this one. The only differance from the other two vettes pictured is the nose,and it still follows the the same lines in general but has been modernized and accented.The rocker covers are not on the car yet like the others and that is the frame showing behind the sidepipes.As you can see there are alot of nice custom vettes out there that have the same general shape.You can't stand out with out some serious change.The corvette summer car was awesome in its day.(It was different)I loved it as a kid.I don't hate it now but,It was a show car, and it's mods did'nt all have a practical function to them.I did'nt care back then.(It was not a problem,It was cool.)It's just that I'm into form and function now.
