Nah, you're not alone....I usually go with the 36 month deal. Last time I renewed I don't think a month passed before someone was calling threating my subscription(s) were about to expire.

I got about 50 "last chance" offers from Car Craft...I still haven't renewed, but I feel pretty confident they will still let me re-subscribe for another year at the lowest rate...

I got three renewal notices on Friday for CHP, CC and PHR. All are good til Jan'09, but I get 'em anyway.

The public does not realize this, might want to have someone pull the ropes in on that "outside company".

Yeah my Mustang Monthly subscription is for two years and about 6 months in I start getting renewal notices. I just wait until the mag comes with "This is your last copy" and renew then.

I had Hotrod send me a body work DVD a while back, which I didn't
order. I opened it and then it said you must send it back if you don't want it or you will get charged like $15. I ripped the package so it couldn't be sent back and it then when in the trash.
They will never see my money- they then sent 2 invoices!!

They will keep sending them!!! I finally wrapped the cd case in note book paper, wrote their address (no return address), put a couple of stamps on it and threw it in a drop box. I guess they got it because I have not received anymore invoices.

      The letters didn't bother me.

      The phone calls did.

Now that I've let all my subscriptions lapse, the calls have stopped. That's worth not having the subscriptions right there.

This is the reason I no longer have any subscriptions, I will gladly pay the newsstand cost! I love the mag's (PHR, Super Rod, etc.), just not the subscriptions.

If you are sent something you did not order its free regardless.
That would be like me sending you a $10,000 crate engine with out you ordering it and expecting payment.

      Hey Steven,

Do the deals get sweeter the longer you wait to renew?
