Correct,the 800 series box is the size that came in most GM cars. Because it`s more common,it`s more affordable. The 670 is a bit smaller and about 6 lbs. lighter though. On a a 3,800lb. street car that may not be a huge deal but on a race car or and early Camaro that needs just a little more header clearance here and there it`s perfect. Heck,even on the 3,800lb. car,taking 6 lbs. off here and 3lbs. off there etc. is what makes them 3,400lb. cars.
