      Power Booster Size for BB

I currently have a BB in my '67 Camaro and want to replace the 11" power booster 'cause it really sits too close to the valve cover. My question is what size can I use and still be safe? Is a 7" booster too small? Should I get a booster that is single or dual diaphram booster? I'm not really sure what the benefit is for having a dual diaphram over a single. Maybe someone could enlighten me.

My brake set up right now is front and rear disc.

Since I am replacing the booster I was planinning on also replacing the proportion valve which now maybe I'm getting to the point I should consider a hydraboost. What do you all think?

get a hydroboost unit and never look back. Not only is the clearance way better, stopping power is even way better even on factory brakes. We are a dealer for Hydratech and can hook you up when you are ready to order.

Just picked mine up today and I can't wait to get it on the car. The Hydroboost will give you all the boost you'll need no matter what brake combo you have.

Dual diaphragm gives more assist with the same pedal leverage. The 79-81 4 WD TAs used a smaller dual diaphragm.

I have used the small diameter dual diaphragm boosters a few times & like them. If I had known about Hydroboost I would have done it on the current project, Although after having it on a few trucks over the years I'm not so keen on the stopping power when the engine quits. I'm sure it's less of an issue in a car setup.

We sell a lot of Hydraboost, and no one makes a better one then HydraTech. If you want a booster. We have killer deals on these trick little 7" dual Diaphram boosters in polished stainless. They come in other finishes but why? Here is one with a Chrome Corvette style master and polished distribution / prop block on a 57 Chevy we are finishing.

We sell the booster alone, or with the master, or complete with prop valve and stainless master to prop lines.

Whatever you want we have them on the shelf.
