Gaskets Sealants & o2 Sensors

which gaskets need sensor safe silicone? just headers, or would crankcase type of gaskets need them too (oil pan, timing cover, etc...)?

not sure why there's so many silicones to choose from. can i use Permatex Ultra Black on most everything except intake/exhaust on car with LM-1 type of sensor?

i searched, but does anyone have any good links to sealer info that might help me out?
