backspacing
I need some advice. I hav been looking at the Coddington "smoothie" wheel 17x 7 or 8 for the front of my 1967 Camaro. According to the fitment chart provided by moderator Tony L. I will need a 4.75 bs. the Coddington wheel comes in backspacings of 4" and 4.5 " bs. Obviously I am 1/4 " short. My question is will they still work? should I look at different wheels? Another item to consider is yes,I have drum brakes , presently but am looking at putting disc brakes on all 4 wheels. Recommendations/ help is appreciated
As to brake system - I am looking and haven't made a decision. Again recommendations are appreciated. Baer has a system for 15" wheels, approx. 1700. for front and back. Stainless Steel brakes has a nice system, decisions, decisions.
