I feel my car fits this description as well. XV Motor sports is putting on a great event for all these cars to get together and run around a safe road course .https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=31855 I know their are a few signed up already, My self included.
It would also be a great place for some one to try out their car to see if they want to go down this road before they start modifying it. As long as the car is safe, it does not mater how well it handles. Just work with what you have. RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG as they say.

P.S. - Stevo - that spoiler is awesome! A must have! Keep us posted as to any production plans! Or maybe I can commission a "one-off Twist Original"?!?!?
The Magnum sounds cool. Did it have the rich Corinthian Leather?

Spoilers will ship no later than August 15th. Custom stuff is no problem, but even more pricey. Try to go with the production part. Feel free to drive out and have a look.

While we're on this subject, spoiler similar to what Im building for my third gen...

Blaine fabrication makes these. Sure he can make them for other vehicles as well as long as he has access to one locally to use for mock up...not sure how long the lexan will hold up on the street, but its fairly cheap (the lexan, not the blaine fab spoiler).

Understood. Punk rock bands used to routinely insult their audience for attending the show. There: Another bad analogy.

You know, I was going to say streetfighters are to cars what punk rock is to music.

But I was busy picking my nose.

I can relate to that audience. There is another bad analogy in there somewhere...

I'm going this route, and plan on running it in open track events. The car will be in flat black primer for at least a year. I would much rather learn the limits of the car prior to all that labor. I will slowly add some creature comforts, and custom touches to the body. This will be my all around toy. Power Tour, track events, cruise nights, and just plain beating the snot out of it.

Ok, now Big power, whats your definition? In my opinion Big power is not needed, sure its fun, but not a necessity depending on the tracks you frequent, in fact it can get in the way of a good run. Listen to me, after my ride in Schwartz ultima, I'm jonesing for turbos, will the insanity ever end?

We need to get together so you can take a ride in mine. I think high 500s to 600 is enough. (Probably because that is all I have)

I'd be happy with 450ish. But honestly what power I have now is just fine(330). In autocross I can pretty much throttle steer the car when needed.

C'mon now...that's a terrible thing to say. Just look at Lee Ving and FEAR. They always treated their audience with nothing but kindness and respect.

....and they just loved playing 'frisco.

I used to work with Lee's son. Imagine the shock of seeing one of your punk rock hero's come walking through the office pushing a baby stroller with his twin grand-daughters in it.

      Horrifying.

IMO, that is enough. Probably more than enough actually.

The Audi R8 that won Le Mans in '05 had 520hp. With huge gumball slicks, positive downforce and Tom Kristenson (sp?) at the wheel they still had wheelspin and they were still a handfull.
      http://www.mulsannescorner.com/audir8-01.html

My Camaro will not have 335 Michi slicks, will not have downforce to speak of and will certainly not have Kristenson at the wheel.

While we all want to have fun with our cars, often it's the guy with 400 hp that runs and runs, while the higher HP cars are being worked on or breaking more often.

It's hard to have restraint when others are building high HP cars, but think carefully about what HP level you really need to have fun.

It takes a little more power at the drags, though. Even on the street, I find 400HP getting old after a while. Spoiled I guess. Or it's the multi-purpose thing. The right amount of power for a track day, might not be enogh to run a 12 second E.T. Especially with weak short times that must be made up on the other end.
