      Martin Turbo setup...

A friend of mine has a complete Martin turbo setup that he has "laying around". I have tried to do some research to see if these things are worth a dang, but they seem to be few and far between.

Are these things worth it, granted they're not going to be as good as a custom or new "kit"; but I could get my hands on it for a couple bills. I have been wanting to turbo my Nova since I got it, but don't want to buy this if it is too obsolete and what-not.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I have ran one of these years ago on a 280Z / 327 combo. It worked flawlessly. I used a quadrajet with it. Best thing I remember is it was very torquey, but not good for any upper RPM range. For just getting your feet wet with such a small initial investment I would say go for it. You will have a lot of fun with it. Get the manual if he has it it is very informative on several specific areas that you can get hands on experience with. If he doesn't have I can give you the main points I remember.

      Hi,

I'm Erik from the Netherlands. Right now I'm busy building a motor with a Martin Kit.
I don't know if it is any good yet.
Below are some pics how it looks.

Made a custom spacer sow i could use edelbrock heads, roller rockers and higher valve covers.

I have an old kit very similar to this kit.

      I've never ran it.

I'm tempted to try it as it is in excellent condition, but then again I want to get a rear mounted STS kit more heh.

Amsterdam, let us know how well it works.

That's funny I'm an STS dealer. When do you want one?
