So, this weekend I replaced the ps pump with a TurnOne version, rebuilt the Woodward ps cylinder, replaced the wheel hubs, and fixed the e-brake handle and linkage.

The brakes are much improved for street use. I was getting knockback before on the street, and that's gone now. Power steering feels the same as before, so I'll have to wait for a track event to see if the fluid is running cooler.

And I finally have a working emergency brake!

Now for some higher rate springs and the race setting on the front suspension.

John don't feel like it was only you, Road Atlanta rung a few bugs out of the Camaro too. I also overheated the p/s pump, replaced it with one from PSC in Texas along with a cooler. The trans people that built mine screwed up some o-rings on the input shaft during assembly so I also fried the 3-4 clutch pac in the 700R4.Tracks are hard on cars but it was the most fun you could have with one.

Tommy, I knew others would have their own problems, and perhaps even more than me. My car is pretty much built for exactly what we were doing. I am a bit disappointed in my ps pump. I thought it would be more up to the job. The wheel bearing seems like it was defective part. The e-brake problem was caused by the idiot who put the car together (me!).

And this is all about finding the weakest link. Next time I'm sure I'll find something else.

Glad to hear you are back up and running. What's the next event for your Camaro?

I'm not sure right now, I will be at the run through the hills for sure, but I was hoping to find another track event or two this summer. If you know of anything within about 600 miles of Atlanta let me know as long as it doesn't require a roll bar.

Check out Chin Motorsports (http://www.chinmotorsports.com). They have the inside lane to track time in the Southeast. I think VIR is running in a couple of weeks and they have openings.

Thanks guys I wasn't sure where to search, but I really enjoyed the track time and want more. The new project I'm starting in a month or so will be geared more toward the track than this one for that purpose. It's another early second gen. but with alot more work.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?
