Will chevy gears fit my pontiac rear?

Ive got a pontiac 8.2" rear and a posi unit for it, but I want to go to something like a 3:73, but can I use chevy 8.2" gears? I know most of the other parts are different especially considering the BOP rears dont use C-clips, but I dont know if the gears are different

      THanks.

Jegs shows different part numbers for BOP and Chevy so it looks like they will not.

      gears

the differences are in the pinion shaft diameter and ring bolt size.

The Chevy gears are supposed to work in the BOP rear but you have to use the chevy pinion yoke, which is weaker than the BOP (25 spline vs 27) and takes a different u-joint. Probably better to use the BOP 3.55 or 3.90 gears and slightly shorter/taller tires.
