      Simple question??

First off....this is my first build (69 chevelle), and am in no way well versed in the paint and body industry.

My plan is to line body panels, prime/sand, and pull from frame, powdercoat frame, paint parts (seperate), and reassemble.

I've got the doors lined up and am trying to aline fenders...here lies the problem. I have to "stretch open" the fenders(with shims) for them to have the same contour with the doors. I'm afraid after I prime/sand/prep for paint and remove the fenders from the car they will "pull" back to original form....then in re-assembly (after paint) afraid of paint cracking, because of stretching back open????

      Any advise will help. Thanks!

      Josh-
