Sign me up!!! I just missed this years due to revamping my transmission situation. I installed a TKO 600, so no more 3000rpm at cruising speed. I was even preregistered this year, and just couldn't pull it off. I don't mean to rub it in, but another local power tour stop suits me fine.

WTF is wrong with the people at HRM???? Do they have any imagination left?
We'll see how long it takes for me to get from the former home of "Slick Willie" to the current home of "Slick Willie" this weekend.

Springfield, MO is the second stop again. Needless to say, I am happy for that one! When it comes around, I will have my garage avaliable if anyone needs to do some work on thier car! Maybe some hamburgers or pizza or something also!

why in hell would they have us roll through the Little Rock ghetto again next year? Surely there has to be better venues than that.

In all honesty, I'm guessing it is just a way to minimize the amount of work needed for planning. Not very exciting though.

sure it is, if you like to put your life in danger. What a friggin' pit, absolutely no reason to go back. Takes 60-90 minutes minimum to get in, while you're sitting still in the worst neighborhood imaginable, getting stared down by gang-bangers. Sounds like fun to me......................

I really hope that all of you don't judge Arkansas or Little Rock by where the tour took you through. I for one and others from here could not figure out what they heck they were thinking when it was to end there?

One thing is for sure it surely brings to light that all our citys have this same problem. I am just sorry they had to put it on parade here. I am not from Little Rock. I live about 100 miles south in a sleeply little town in the boonies. There are plenty of places they can leave from next year in the Little Rock area. I personally would love to see it Leave south of Little Rock in a city called Hot Springs.

If your writing Hot Rod to complain which would be unstandable just ask them to keep it here but move the starting point to someplace else that is not the arm pit of Arkansas. There are many places here that would welcome the Power Tour and would be great venues and can show case our state.

Yea, like Northwest Arkansas, up by Springdale and the lake area.

Why can't they go back to the Cali to Detroit route, maybe start it later and end it at the Woodward Dream Cruise!!

I agree Joe, most cities have areas like that. But no reason to hold the event there, so I really hope they are looking at other options.

I am pretty positive they will get a lot of "feedback" on that stop. Even without the area issues the 1-2 hours needed to get in, cars overheating, steep hills killing clutches when you can only move a few feet at a time, etc. make it a bad location.

It was mentioned by some that they are looking to move it somewhere else in Little Rock or that general area, so I'm hoping it's true.

Indeed, you would think the west coast and surrounding states were plagued with bad weather, dingy cities, a lack of hot rods & muscle cars, and a dearth of scenic-and generally well paved-roads. But since none of that is true.....

For all those that return I bet the exit will be quick. Also above a mention to move to North Arkansas would be a good choice. Some very pretty area up that way. Also just a note......I would love to see something going west since I am from San Diego and since I plan to be on it next year and following years I would love to go west!!

Wow hotrod actually coming into Nebraska something has to be wrong. isn't it sacrilege for the power tour to venture so close to the west coast anymore.

They should have it start in Mountain Home area. Some beautiful land, mountains, lakes and roads in that area of Arkansas. Sorry but Little Rock has very little to offer.

Cruiser - I have family in Mountain Home and Van Buren County / Clinton Ark. Those be God's country.....

Agreed, I was saying that we have typically good roads on the west coast and surrounding states, which sure makes for a more pleasant touring experience.

      west coast power tour??

Does the Power Tour always run in the Arkansas neck of the woods? Wouldn't it be more interesting for everyone if it was shared around and moved towards the west coast, then back over east and then just run the route across the country in a different location every year. Surely there's a ton of cool places to visit, that would love to see the Power Tour roll through town?!

Im suprised HRM is doing the power tour in the midwest again.
I have family there so I could stop in and see them before the tour, but
his is another let down. I dont want to have to travel halfway across the country. When are they going to try the west coast?
I figure it will be worth it though, just trailer the car out there and drive it on the tour.

I also want to know where the hell the west coast power tour is, you would think the birthplace of hotrodding would be a great place for the tour. Not to mention the weather is always good (no excessive heat and humidity) and you have a bitchin' coastal drive up highway 1 through the Big Sur area. That drive is one of the BEST in the country, and would be a ton of fun in our P-T cars.

My vote would be to start in San Diego or somewhere in Orange County and head up to Portland or Seattle. Will it ever happen?

      Andy
