Super Dana 44?
I read about a super dana 44 internals, I guess the same as Viper dana 44 guts, for the C4 IRS set up. Can anyone elaborate on this and steer me in the right direction to outfitt the truck?

Maybe I've described it wrong, anyone know what I'm talking about?
Is it just a beefed up ring and pinion set and would the viper guts be useable in the C4 dana?Bob

Ok, may have figured it out....open to corrections if I'm mistaken. This is an upgrade kit for the Dana 44 where a larger splined axle can be used garnering more strength.
If that's the case then how can I source the materials for the C4 IRS? I see this kit is popular in the 4x4 arena. Do you have to order one and cut it down to work?Bob

ok, I'll be quite now...All C4's that ran a manual transmission came equipped with the Super 44 rear end. Now we know.
