      Custom Floor Pan

Im curious how much some of you think, or if you know for a fact, how much it costs to have a custom floor pan built to work with Art Morrisons MaxG chassis on a 1970 Chevy Nova? any imput would be helpful...thanks

My floors took months to make, doing it myself. I've got better tools and more experience now, but it is still a big job.

Of course, I wasn't willing to live with flat floors either. I wanted every inch of head room I could get so I could wear a helmet comfortably.

I don't have a Art Morrison chassis or a nova, but I am making my own floors and firewall. Like JP said it takes time and it also take alot of planning, but well worth it in the end. You just gotta buy some tools and have alot of spare time.. Mine is no where near as good as JP's but IMO it is turing out great and it is alot of fun!

its always hard to say how much a custom job like that would take. as others mentioned, it depends on what materials you want to use, amount of datail, and a few other factors. a simple square tube floor pan with rivited and bonded aluminum pannels would be the most simple and cost effective method. material costs for that would probably be about 300-700 dollars(mostly for aluminum sheet) and then labor costs. The sky is the limit for labor costs, increasing exponentially with the use of round tubing, and many complex bends. If you want a good idea of simplicity at its best, look at the factory five kit cars, and go from there. I just designed a car in cad with a pretty trick square tube floor pan supplemented with bonded and rivited panels(bead rolled for strength) and cant wait to see the actual product. It will be on our next shop project car. either way, it is a big job and having someone do it will be costly. call me if you have any further questions and I can tell you some more options.
