69 camaro crash on msnbc.com

I cant post it up but somebody else can. Right now the "top
video headline " on msnbc.com is a 69 camaro crash I don't know
what happened because I'm at work and they block videos
looks like an intresting story.

I did see it. Stupid work firewall wouldn't let me open it either, but the story looks like an 11-year old boy was seriously injured when a car that was drag racing crashed, and it appears the car was a '69 Camaro.

I saw that on my local news last night. A few people got injured. I think an 11 year old boy was hurt pretty bad. All I could think was "Why the hell were they drag racing someplace with no safety fence/wall? And why were people setting so close?" DUH!

Looking at the way the car reacted, it made me remember something I have always thought: I know that the weight is reduced and suspension droop/rebound are increased by removing the front sway bar, but wouldn't that help make these "drag" cars a little more stable and controllable when they do get loose?"

Good point. I know it wouldn't make the drag racers happy, but a minimum swaybar diameter requirement would make these street-based cars a little safer. Not to mention encourage those that are using the cars on the street and strip to use them on the street as well. I'm sure many of these guys are going to the track, removing the bar, and reinstalling for the trip home.
