hey everyone, i have been reading around the site for while and finally decided i better introduce myself. my name is josh im in the marine corps in sandiego 22 years old from kansas originaly. my car is a 1974 chevy nova i have been workin on now for about two years it was completley stock when i got it except a open element aircleaner and a oil and temp gauge. since buying it i have upgraded the suspension with 550# speedway front springs and 250# multi leafs out back kyb gas-a-just stocks all around did the guldstrand mod up front the pictures of the car on my car domain below were with 750# front springs right after we painted it. the rear end is a 8.5 with 3.73 gears and a eaton posi with superior axles. trans is a tko-600 5 speed with .64 overdrive. the eng is a 355 i got when the stocker gave way to a corroded freeze plug and overheated enough to bend the needle against the guages stop lol good times. vortec heads knock off air gap intake with a demon 625 carb with the choke assy removed edlebrock alum water pump and march serpentine pulleys headman full length headers into magna flow 2 1/2 exhaust out the back installing cutouts after the xpipe at the moment. have upgraded the braking system from stock 4 wheel drum brakes to junkyard stock front disc brakes and just removed them to install wilwood dana lite 12.1 in drilled and slotted. also just finished a swap to manual steering from the power. i have been running 18x8 in wheels all around for about 2 years now with 245/40/18s on front and 275/40/18s on back just bought new 17x9 and 17x8 kmc hot wheels and falkin 615 tires havent even got em in the mail yet. all the paint and body was done by me and my dad the color is black valspar base clear with as much red pearl as they mix from the factory with i believe 100mg more of red pearl in it (i was in irac when he painted it so not exactley sure) all of the work has been done by me except for the rear end gear install and the welding of the exhaust since i dont have a welder or i would have done that also anyway sorry this is so long just wanted to introduce myself you all have some beautiful rides thats for sure
