      "Official" Power Tour thread

Well, don't know if it is actually "official", but it sounded good!
Who's going? Who's not? Who's going that is close to me that I can tag up with?
We (chic and 20 month old kid and I) are going in the 58 and going to try to go the long haul. We are leaving fri I believe.
      Who else?

I am a "local" guy who has been helping with some events for anyone coming into C-Town early. Take a look at whats going on Friday:

      FRIDAY:

      10:00 AM - 12:00 noon

A few members of the Hot Rod Forum calling themselves The “Forum Freaks” who will be in town early are going to the Louis Stokes Veterans Medical Center located on Brecksville Rd & Miller Rd in Cleveland from 10:00-12:00-ish Friday to honor the local vets and have a great time showing off their rides doing it. The VA hospital will have a parking lot reserved and a police escort while on the grounds. There should be a nice group of cars, but get there on time if at all possible. They will make room for more if needed. Local media coverage will also be at this event.

This is a great thing to do for those who have served our country! There is supposed to be a HUGE thank-you card for those of us that will be there, to sign.

      4:30 PM - LATE

There is a group of participants and anyone else who wants to go are gathering Friday night at the Ramada Airport South located at 7233 Engle Rd, in Middleburg Heights OH to cruise to the coolest car-guy watering hole in C-Town. The group will leave there NO LATER than 4:30 to caravan to Quaker Steak & Lube in Independence OH.

At "The Lube" as we locals call it; you can eat while seated directly underneath several real classic and muscle cars suspended upside down from the CEILING! Every square foot from floor to ceiling of this place is loaded with cool go-fast stuff. There are also motorcycles, and race cars as well as tons of racing memorabilia ... it is a motorhead's sensory overload. If you are into cars/bikes/wings/burgers/beer or all of them this IS the place to go while you are in C-Town!

Jay who is the special events coordinator for the Valley View Quaker Steak is looking forward to having any and all Power Tour vehicles or local rides there Friday the 1st and will have special parking roped off adjacent to the outdoor patio (pictured above). Their patio has it's own full service bar and waitresses and is about 90% covered so even if we get rain you will be able to keep an eye on your cars which will be parked just a few feet from your tables in the front row of the parking lot.

If you don’t make it in time you can meet up with us at anytime that night. The parking lot and the adjacent lots will hold 1000+ cars and it is a nice area as well.

Although I will not be on the tour I will be at the Lube Friday and at the IX Center Saturday working. If anybody has any questions please PM me!!!! Hope to see some PT.com cars at either event Friday!

I was heading back from a business trip yesterday afternoon (I-70 going west to Indy) and saw several nice cars heading to Cleveland, plus the Painless Wiring trailer. Good luck to everyone on the trip, keep us posted!

I left my house yesterday afternoon en route to Cleveland. About a 1/2 mile from my house the car died. I started doing some roadside troubleshooting and found two different circuits (fuel pump relay and brake light) fuses were popping. No luck finding the problem intially, so I had the car towed home. Slightly frustrated with this (after working so hard to get other bugs worked out), I decided to try and do the tour in my avalanche. I transloaded everything to the new vehicle and started driving. About an hour into it, I turned around and decided I had to do the tour in my car. So today I start playing the "find the grounding wire in the dash harness" game. I hope to make one of the later stops. Hope to see everyone then!

Gotta take a business trip to Milwaukee and Chicago next week. So I'm leaving early on Monday to catch the show in Racine, Springfield, and Evansville. I'll have a rental car with room for parts/stuff hauling if needed.

Update on mine: I figured out my PCM hard failed on me. I am disappointed but at least it didn't do it to me 1000 miles away from home. I will be senting it out in the AM to try and get it fixed/replaced so I might be able to go to the memphis venue. I am wanting to drive my car but worse case, I will drive up in another vehicle and go to the last 2 venues. Hope to see you guys then!
