NE1 go to the Indy 500?

Just wondering if anyone from here was at the Indy 500 today. I live just North of Indy in Noblesville, but took the kids to the zoo instead. That didn't last long because we got rained on, obviously just like people at the track.

I was there until the rain began then everyone wanted to leave. It was my first time and what a rush! Those things are so dang fast! And the sound....Oh mama!

I was 20 feet from the wall at the start of turn one. They were pretty cool pics even though you couldnt really see the cars when they were in front of you. But you could see them burnin rubber getting out of the pits! It was cool! I wanna go again!

The pretty girls didnt hurt either!

Years ago I went to the 500 every year, then I go interested in NASCAR, so I switched gears so to speak & got tickets for the 400. I had front row seats on the outside of turn 4 fro the year it started until 1997. That was the year I filed for divorce & the b!tch wanted the tickets. I wanted out & she could have kept everything, so I let her have them. I have been going to the NASCAR race in Michigan every August with a bunch of other guys. I guess you could say, "You have to have a member to be a member" group. You can see pretty much the whole track from every seat there. I like it much better than Indy.

I know they still run the road courses, but why do they even bother running an oval? I find it VERY boring! I used to watch indycar more before they started running an oval

The race would also be better if they had not split the series into two.
