Corbeau GTS II in a Nova

Has anyone put a set of Corbeau GTS II seats in their ride?

      I have a bench seat 71 Nova.
I am wodering if the brackets that Wedge engineering makes will fit a bench seat car, of if the brackets only work with a factory bucket seat floor pan.

I called Wedge, and the guy I spoke with said he couldn't answer my questions, that the people who started the company and knew everything had all passed away!?!?!?

      Any input would be helpfull.

      Randy

I used some wedge engineering brackets in my 67 camaro, that was originally equipped with a split bench. The bucket or bench seat bolt to the same holes, the only difference is the bench did not use the holes closer to the transmission tunnel. I would think the nova would be the same. The wedge brackets bolted right in. I was also going to use the gts II' s but I opted for a set of cerrullos, The seats are great and the staff at cerrullo were very helpful, you might want to check them out..

I have GTS II's in my Formula with Corbeau brackets and they are too high. It is not high on my list of priorities right now but at some time, I will have to weld up some replacements.

Are the brakets from Corbeau made by Wedge engineering? If so then yes I used them in my 69 bench seat car. It was super easy. All I had to do was drill two more holes in the floor pan. I just bolted the bracket down to make the new holes then un-bolted it so I could drill the new holes.

      Thanks Andrew.

I was hoping that would be the case.

What seats did you use? Do you have any pics?

I hope to buy a set of soon.

Andrew how comfortable is the drivers seat on long drives? Did you have that seat when you were on the power tour? Thanks, Nathan

Yeah I got the seats right before the power tour. On the comfort part yeah I like it alot. But I'm short and I like to sit fairly straight up. On the power tour I did 3 days of driving and didnt mind the seat at all. Compared to a stock seat its light years better in my opinion. Defintly lower seating position and way better than a bulky beanch seat ever was.

With that said when I buy another like it I'll defintly get a tube frame seat. The FX1 does have some flex to it. I'd look into the Forza(if you go with corbeau)

Thanks I'm looking right now. I want a comfortable seat to drive but I also want it to hold me up when I'm auto crossing. Thanks for the help.

I had the GTS II seats in my 72 nova. I thought they were very comfortable and supportive. They also did a good job holding me in in the twisties. I'll see if I can find a pic.

I switched seats for a month or so. Took the drivers seat out and put the passanger seat as the drives seat. It defintly held me in place. And was super comfortable. Honestly I kinda want to buy a drivers seat to match my passanger seat.
