      Whats your Highway MPG?

I averaged about 14mpg on the highway this past weekend..

      with a GMPP 350/330hp, 200-4R and 3:42 rear... I thought I'd be up around 17 at least!

at the Lake it was $2.99 premium!, Here its $3.35 (St. Louis)..

The carbs too big.. 750 eddy on a 350, I need a 600 or 650.. might see a little better mpgs then.. I was pretty light on it.. but the bastid kept slipping in and out of lockup at times...

On the '05 & '06 Power Tours I averaged 14.5mpg with a 11.5:1 454, Eddy dual quads, 3:42 gear and TKO. During one ALL interstate stint I got 18mpg (reeeeeal light on the pedal).

      The 572 with the same rear/trans and a 850 Demon gets 13mpg.

Best was 18-19 mpg on a trip to Phoenix. This was with my current 10.8:1 508hp 383, 700R4 and 3.55s.

When I used to drive my car to highschool everyday I got around 17/18mpg. Thats with a GMPP 350/330hp, 3.08 rear gear and TH350. Thats was being very light on the pedal.

Sounds like some tuning is in order.

10-12mpg with a 950cfm carb; 15.6mpg with the 750cfm. (I think having only 1 power valve on the 750 and the higher vacuum signal helped more than anything.); 31.5mpg is my best with the vette... guess which one I'll drive more if gas keeps going up!

Tony, you should be getting 20mpg (or more) with a 200-4R and 3.42s once it's tuned. My old heads'n'cam TPI 305/200-4R/3.73 setup in the Monte got 21mpg with the AC on at 70mph.

69 on the last power tour, avg 12mpg. Blasting it ALOT! It has got as good as 17mpg. Oh, and as bad as 4mpg!
The 58 with a 348 got 18.4mpg coming home from Dallas last month at 80mph. This last weekend, it got 16mpg. My chics Escalade gets only 15mpg and the F250 Diesel gets 15mpg also.
This is all average, not the peak's.

I pull around 18-20 mpg normally, but I do a looottt of highway driving. That's with a smogger 350, demon 650, tko500, and 3.08 gears.

      1996 Camaro Z28 Convertible - 350 - 6 speed - about 14mpg hwy.

Traded it in on Friday for a new Corolla 5 speed. 30+mpg (42 mpg EPA hwy), stable and quiet at 100mph, and you actually have to shift to stay in the powerband, rather than just dumping it in 4th or 5th to keep the gas mileage from tanking. Funny, now that I'm driving a Toyota instead of a Camaro, nobody wants to race or cut me off.

$4 a gallon this summer in CA means you guys from the midwest ought to come out here, get some sun and surf, and pick up a new ride cheap, as I bet I'm not the only one going from 8 cylinders to 4.
