      Another Southern Maverick

Im not new here I posted a few times under my old name with my old project 71 LeMans. My brother-in-law wanted the car back so I started on my 71 Grabber again. This time it's going much better. I've replaced almost all the floor pans, built some custom subframe connectors out of 2x3 steel tubing, redoing the rear suspension, and put a Rod & Custom Mustang II front crossmember in. The car is pretty well stripped at this time, but I'm looking forward to getting more done in the next couple weeks. It's going to be power by a 302 and T-5 5speed for now. I eventually want to put in a 4.6 DOHC Modular engine and 5 or 6 speed. But the budget only allows for the 302 and 5 speed for now. IM going to get the rest of the suspension work done in the next several weeks then its on to more mody mods. I will post pics as I progress. But here's a few as of a couple weeks ago.

Welcome again, I have a 77 Mercury Comet. It sounds about the same as what your doing. I have a 302 5 speed combo, well I'm still in the 5 speed process. Good luck on the car & look forward to seeing it come together.

If you’re suggesting sending men with weapons of war to take my weapons of war, then I’m fairly certain that’s what’s called an act of war… and the definition of tyranny.which coincidentally is the reason for the second amendment to begin with!

Thanks for the welcome. I know a few of you from the Maverick boards. Barry looks like you Maverick is coming along nicely. Did you shave the lip on the upper part of your firewall? Im thinking of doing that since the only reason for it now is to route water to the sides.
