Help on converting column shift to floor on 69 camaro

I bought a tilt column to be used with a floor shifter because I really liked the way the 1969 camaro's looked with the horseshoe shifter and console but I'm not sure what I need to do.



I see the kits from year one and others to buy the whole assembly but I'm wondering how I know where exactly to put it on the floor. Does anyone know of a company or website offering maybe a template or something. Or are there mounting points I should see on the floor when I yank the carpet?

Do a search over on camaros.net. I know there are pictures of where to cut the hole for a 4 speed. I'm sure there is probably something there for an auto.
