Who has the best price on Painless Kits???

I have decided this is going to be the year I attack the 40 years of "creative wiring solutions" under the dash.
I have replaced the other harnesses more out of need (missing or unuseable) when I bought the car.

But I have had enough with chasing wires under the dash and wondering why something was "fixed" in a certain way.

Anybody know who has the best deals on a Painless wiring kit ?

I am thinking about going with their Direct-fit replacement harness for Camaro/Firebird
      P/N 20101.

I hope someone can beat Summits prices, I hate to give them any more of my money.

I would HIGHLY suggest a American Autowire Classic Update over a Painless Kit. We do not sell Painless, but sell American AutoWire, for a reason.

I'll second Frank on this, you can't beat the qaulity and workmanship of AAW, and customer service is tops.I used AAW on my last project and it was a custom built harness that they did for me(factory replacement with mods for all the changes I did) and they were great to work with. The harness came out of the box and was plug and play for all mods and qaulity was top notch. AAW harnesses also include all sockets and plugs new you don't have to reuse your old ones like you do with painless.

I third Frank's opinion, but if you want Painless, I have a 20101 kit I never used still in the box that I had bought for my 67-8 Camaro in the Garage sale section of my website for $329. Since we are now a AAW dealer as well, I will only use the best.

I guess I'd like to try to save PW name a little here if I could do so. I have installed 7 of their universal kits and I think they are awesome! Later model push in style fuse block, every wire says directly where it goes just in case. I can mount the fuse block under the dash wherever I want and ditch all the holes on the fire wall. I'm not knocking AAW at all because I have yet to deal with their kit. I suppose when you like a product your reluctant to try another. I can see why everyone carries AAW because their smart and dont require dealers a huge buy in to move their product like PW does.
By the way,Mike has a good price on that 20101. Good luck!

I have used both and AAW is superior to Painless

The AAW classic upgrade harnesses use the late model push in fuses also and are well marked.

Another vote for AAW. I am just finishing up installing a Classic Update Kit that I got from GP Superstore. Great price and product, nice clear instructions, and excellent service.

      I'd be happy to!

E-mail me your address - catalogs are mailed bi-weekly, but instead of waiting for the next mailing, send me your information and I'll place one in the mail for you today. (This applies to any of you who'd prefer not to wait another week and a half for it to mail.)

      E-mail me

Highway Series is a Universal harness available in 15 or 22 circuit. 22 circuit is the most popular due to its expandability. Several vendors on this board including me have them available.

Would I need to keep some of my existing light sockets and switch connectors to mate up to the universal harness?

yes, the Highway Series is a GM based harness, headlight, ignition, and dimmer switches and some connectors are included and are also GM based, so you need to save all your existing Ford stuff to reuse.
