Size difference between the 670 and 800 steering boxes

So I was just about to get my old 800 box over to Lee mfg, when I saw on the SC&C site that the 670 is smaller. My question is, smaller where? My headers hit my current box in the area indicated in the pic below (pretty commom issue). Is the 670 box smaller in this area, or somewhere else?

      670 box.

I think I have a 670 box in my silverado, I can measure it if you want.

Theoretically they are smaller, but the cap footprint for me was worse. Headers fit with the stock box but interfered withe bolt just forward of yours.

Best bet is to choose the box you want and have Tim at Moore's in Burbank reroute the header tube.

Thanks for the feedback Carl. I thought I saw the same thing on yours.
