Manual or power rack? Effort Unisteer

Thinking of geting a Unisteer rack but Im not sold on either a power or manual rack. I already have power steering to start.

I know people have some strong feelings on the whole subject of rack&pinions in these applications so please limit this to my basic questions.

How is the steering effort with the manual rack and wide fronts?

How is the road feel of the manual or power rack?

Turning radius with either? Better worse than stock?

And people who have the unisteer rack give me a basic idea of how you like it? Pros-cons? I have a small block so I will not have the header issues.(I hope)

      Thanks a ton guys.

Maybe everyone is thinking this is an April Fools joke. Lowbuck spending $$$? Did it fall off a truck?

I ran a manual rack in my car and I have 245 40/17s on 17x8s up front. No problem driving it at all it steers like a dream. I bought my rack from Chris Alston's Chassiworks so that it was matched to my front clip.

I have the Unisteer power rack on my Nova. While it is power, it is harder to turn than my old wishy washy factory power steering.

The road feel is much better than the stock setup, much more solid feeling to me.

I really can't remember if it changed my turning radius. I never noticed so it must be close to what it was.

Headers, I had a set of new Hooker supercomps, no way to route the linkage due to the tube configuration, even a 3 joint would not have worked. Hedmans fit perfectly and only had to use a 2 joint linkage.

All in all, I really like the rack, was not too hard to install and it has made driving the car a whole lot more fun to me. I think I would go with the power rack though as it is much harder to turn than the stock setup was. No pwr may be really stiff.
