New BBC Crate Motor w/o clutch Pivot location

I am in the process of swapping in a new GM aluminum head crate BBC engine into a '73 Corvette (original 454 car) with a 4 speed muncie.

The problem is the new crate motor does not have the cast in location (much less a threaded hole) for the clutch pivot ball to install. The correct location is in line with the ol filter close to a freeze plug.

The motor came with a flexplate and without a pilot bushing also.

Is there an adapter available to put the ball in the correct location on the block? Are there any other options (other than an automatic)?

Luckily the new motor is untouched on its crate base.

      thanks for any assistance
