Hydraboost brake system in 69 camaro?
After 16 months of hard work I finally got my car done. While driving it today I noticed my brakes really suck. I have new SSBC Force 10 disc with new drilled rotors. The rears are drums. Several times I almost had to push the pedal to the floor to get it stopped.
It currently has power disc brakes with rebuilt 11" booster. The motor is a 502HO. If I decide on a hydraboost system, can it be installed without removing the fender or is there a cheaper fix.

If it has drums and your pedal is going to the floor, you may need to snug up you rear brake shoes. Sounds like excessive shoe travel to me.

I just had my rear emergency brake cables installed. Somebody at the front end shop said I might need a vacum cannister. Does anybody know what that is.

guys thanks for the quick replies. The booster is rebuilt and the master cyclinder is new. I guess it can be bad but I will have mechanic bleed my brakes on Monday.
