Gen. I Mini Tub fit questions

Those of you who have installed mini tubs:



Do they make the sides of the rear seat very uncomfortable from the portion that is cut out?

Also, how easily do they fit on convertibles? Do they interfere with the top mechanisms? I believe the Innovator is using them from DSE, but there is so much money in that car, I don't see it as a good gauge of what fits without extra fabrication.
