      Supercar style parking brake?

      Guys-

We are in the process of installing a rear disc brake kit onto a 69 Camaro that does not have a parking brake provision due to the caliper design. We have found a cool solution that can be retrofitted to most any car now that we distibute for Brembo.

I wanted to see if any one had interest in this style of caliper as an add-on to their current rear disc brake system. The caliper is a non hydraulic floating pull style caliper, and can be seen on the McLearen F1, Carrera GT, and the Enzo Ferrari. If there is some interest, we will make a full kit to go with most rear end types and disc diameters.

Cool. Can we see more pics of the back? How does it mount?

Honestly, I've never been a fan of that kind of parking brake, but I suppose if it's the only way to use one, I'd live with it.

What, you couldn't just shove a stick in the drilled rotor holes? :D

Looks sweet. It's down low too.

Most 2 piston and all 4 piston calipers don't have an integral parking brake. They are performance calipers and require a 2ndary safety system.

I think the add-on unit is the best solution, but that depends on the $$$$ for the kit.

How are the costs compared to willwood "spot" calipers?

I have seen the street rod crowd put a disc on the rearend and use a third brake caliper like the one in the pic. Not sure how the disc attaches? looks like its on the pinion, Best I remember.

That's a grerat way to go on a car with IRS. It helps keep the unsprung weight down.
